The earliest known genealogy of our BAXTER family begins in
Donaghadee, County Down, North Ireland.

The path of the second son of the family
led him to Ayrshire, Scotland.

There, in Ballantrae, Ayrshire and vicinity,
the descendant branch of the younger son
remained and made a home in Scotland.

The path of the elder son eventually
took him and, with one exception,
all of his children to the USA.


Of the five daughters of the family, the eldest
is known to have married in Ireland and the
fates of the younger four remain unknown.
